At 52 years of age I will start a degree course in Psychology. When I complete the course I will be collecting my pension. The benefit of this is that I will not be in debt until I’m 82 paying back student fees. However it also means:
- I am 30 years behind; and
- I am £50,000 down
Degrees were free when I left school but hey I did not know then what I now know : what you can now know if you come into the Front Room (Cost: £3).
As stated in the booklet “Common Threads of Co-dependency”, we were mislead, misinformed, just plain wronged:
“Somewhere along the line, we learned to doubt our perceptions, discount our feelings and overlook our needs and our abilities”.
“Our self-esteem hinged on gaining others’ approval”.
“Trying to “get it right” cost us dearly”.
…and so it goes on.
Yet it is not too late to learn.
To learn how to
- Recognise our true value;
- stop neglecting and mistreating ourselves;
- Discover within ourselves a sense of security and self-worth.
If you still need convincing your life can be wonderful after some work in The Front Room, please see the video below of how Miss Osceola McCarthy, 87, went from slave to meeting the President and obtaining an honorary degree from Harvard.
No...it’s never too late – but why wait?
Come into the Front Room - £3 now – deal or no deal?
Next meet-up: First Wednesday 7 October 2015
